Guys, Check out this game if your currently doing any kind of cisco certifications or if you have a a general interest in networking.

Its basically like those games on facebook but you are a network engineer.

Ingenious:D

lol I design, build, troubleshoot networks all day for a living... why would I do this in a virtual world as a means of relaxation!

My job is far from relaxing!

Studying for my CCNA so will download this.

Though I just read this: https://www.cisco.apply2jobs.com/HV...on=mHvexternal.showPositionDetails&PID=374055 I have an interview for it in 2 weeks time, sounds difficult and seems like there's a lot to do.

Passing CCNA certification examination within 36 weeks
That seems fine, especially as I'm already working on my ICND2 but then
Additional certifications testing – CCNP will be encouraged within the first 12 months
That seems like a push?

My CCNA was harder than my CCSP (aint yet done my CCNP) But both were done within 6 months of each other, mind you that was about 7 years ago, before they added wifi/voip to everything.

No, the CCNP within a few months of your CCNA isnt to much of a push.

Well the CCNA back then was one big exam, most people I think now take the 2 route method.
The CCNA though shouldn't take anywhere near 36 weeks though, I plan to have mine by the end of August ish... Just a random date really. Plenty of time for the NP.
Ive got my CCENT on 27th July!!
Good luck =) subnetting, subnetting, subnetting! I found mine easier than I thought it would be :D 1 question on wireless lol..

Thanks mate. Just working through configuring at the minute, Getting used to the commands etc. Im not too bad at subnetting however they dont always ask you straight out subnetting. They can give you something may be on the wrong subnet and its up to you to figure that out.

Going to be over the moon if i pass.

I got 899, needed 804 to pass, had about 5 minutes left on the clock, was going at a steady pace.

Yeah there's multiple ways they can go about subnetting.
* How many hosts and networks can be made from this (subnet mask or IP address and / notation)
*Which network IP address would work with this mask?
*Which are valid host addresses
*What is the broadcast address
etc etc

I didn't have any diagrams which I had to look at multiple addresses and figure out the problem.. I did in my practice though. But once you really understand subnetting it doesn't mater what kind of question you get...

I didn't even have any configuration simulations =( so SHOW COMMANDS.

http://www.subnettingquestions.com/ great site for practice, spent a hour or two on there the day before my exam. I still don't understand why I found it so hard to understand when my teacher tried to explain it to me, CBT Nugget video of it made it so easy!

Well done mate. Hopefully I'll follow in your foot steps.
