Hi There,

I have a main office running a CCM cluster with global directory, and a smaller office running a CME, how can I get the global directory to show-up on the CME phones?

I've gone into telephony-service the specified a URL but it doesn't appear after a phone reset.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Kev :)

Morning, What are you seeing when pressing the directory button, is it still the CME internal directory, or nothing? Do you have IP connectivity between your CCM and CCME phones? Can you ping a phone from the CCM server. I assume you have copied the directory URL from the Enterprise Parameters page, it should be something like:

http://10.10.10.10:80/CCMCIP/xmldirectoryinput.asp

So the command would be:

!
telephony-service
url directory http://10.10.10.10:80/CCMCIP/xmldirectoryinput.asp
!

Let me know how you get on :)

Good News! It's fixed!

Thanks Curiosityx, I wish that I'd checked this thready earlier, may have saved some time as you probably know this (or got to it first) ! :)

Despite all the connectivity being in-place and the correct URL configured on the call manager, the firewalls passing the traffic ok, it wasn't working so I managed to find the solution hidden away in the admin guide (which I've only just found today!)

You have to register the MAC addresses of the CME phones on the CCM - even though they'll never use the registration. I think it's authentication, related thing...

Indeed! Just have to get the inter-site calling working now, I think there's some issues with the dial-plan (thankfully I can push this at the voice guys:))

I'm waiting for some more memory for my 1751, so I can play with one in my home lab...
