Greetings, ive been following a guide from Cisco in regards to configuring SIP on a Cisco CME Router but i cant for the life of me get inbound and outbound calls working.

The provider is Voiceflex, ive configured the SIP-UA parameters, configured a basic translation rule and profile as well as VOIP dial peer for inbound calls.

Not having worked with SIP before im at a loss at the moment to what could be causing the problem.

This is the output from the sh sip-ua register status command

ciscouc500#sh sip-ua register status
Line peer expires(sec) registered
============ ============= ============ ===========
0121345**** 20029 111 no
0121345**** 20011 110 no
0121345**** 20014 117 no
0121345**** 20017 8 no
0121345**** 20020 17 no

But i am unsure whether or not i should be trying to register each individual phone with the registrar server or not, the numbers listed above are all secondary numbers attached to DN's.

I can't tell you the answer unfortunately but I'm interested in how it's done too, I want to set it up in my home lab sometime with a SIP provider.

Indeed, going straight onto pstn and isdn is straight forward but trying to get this through the firewall and nat is proving tricky, im not getting any hits on the deny statements in the access list and have done a sanity check against standard configs, ive got a sneaking suspicion that the service provider may be at fault but ill have to wait till tommorow to investigate further.
