Me again ![Smile :) :)](/styles/default/xenforo/vbSmilies/Normal/smile.gif)
Been reading a bit more about voice and started configuring a basic setup for dialling on and out on my pstn line.
The router is a 2621xm with a NM-2V and a VIC-2FXO card.
I added the following config:
voice-port 1/0/0
connection plar 1000 - which I understand makes incoming calls ring on ext 1000
Then added a dial peer:
dial-peer voice 1 pots
destination-pattern 9T - using 9 for outside line and T should be any number?
port 1/0/0
prefix 9,
Now if I ring IN, the correct extension rings, BUT continues to ring even if I hang up on external phone (my mobile). If I answer then hang up it does not disconnect the call.
I cannot dial out at all:
If I dial 9 then my mobile number I get a recording, this account number is not valid
This is all completely new and I am learning and reading as I go along but so far what I have done does not seem to be wrong based on the examples I have seen.
Any help?!
I have ordered the Cisco CCNA Voice book which I hope might help but I often prefer to learn as I go and try to make it do what I am after rather than just read through a book.
