Using a 2600 series router, there is a command called "transport input none". i have transferred the configuration data onto the new 2800 router but it doesn't like that command, on the 2800 the only commands available are "transport input" and " transport preferred", not "transport input".

Just wandering if there are any cisco gurus who know what the command does, i have deleted in from the configuration file for the 2800 and it now works fine, just wandered if this causes any security vulnerability?

Cheers

yeah, my bad, transport output and transport preffered are on the 2800, transport input is not on the 2800.

so if i don't write that command in, does that mean that the router can be accessed through that port?

I wander if it is blocked by default using the newer IOS software??

thanks the reply, more helpful than the cisco site!
