Hey,

Does anyone here have any experience with the Cisco Mesh products? We are trying to set up 3x Cisco Mesh 1520 AP's (1x RAP connected to a WLAN Controller 2125, 2 WAPs - soon to be 6 WAPs) in a multi-point bridge configuration and are having trouble getting them to bridge any traffic at all.

The network is one big Class B (don't ask :() and all the devices can be seen by the WLAN Controller. Each WAP (and RAP) have Ethernet bridging enabled, are in the same bridge group and have the networks we want to bridge to connected via g0/1 - they just refuse to give us access to the remote networks, despite being able to be seen by the WLAN Controller.

Any help is appreciated, I'm all out of options - even after reading the configuration guides on cisco.com... which don't work :(

Thanks,

Craig

Never mind - I've sussed it :p

In case anyone else has this problem, you need to have a Cisco switch (yes, specifically a Cisco switch) between the RootAP and the WLC for Ethernet bridging to work... something Cisco failed to mention in the Configuration Examples (all four of them) and the big several-hundred-page Configuration Guide. The answer is tucked away in their Knowledge Base under a unrelated article in a section titled "Additional Information" - how kind of them.

Can you tell I'm annoyed with Cisco today?
