Hi,

I'm moving house soon and will need a new router as my zyxel is staying at my parents house.

I did start my CCNA but didn't finish it as I moved to take on a new job.

I'd like to try and get my hands on a fairly cheap unit that I could run at my new home. It would be nice to have wireless, 4 ports, routing and firewall. VoIP would be a real bonus but probably pop the price up a bit.

What models would you recommended? I can have a search on ebay then.

Cheers.

What you need are three 2500 series routers and two Catalyst switches.

The most they'll tell you to do is a three router setup with two switches.
If you can do it real life you'll be better prepared.

And how much would it cost for all that?

arh dont confuse me dude. :p

Ill take a look at the 2501's and a Catalyst switch. But I can only really do that if I get outbid on this one.

Goes to take a look at 2501 and see what the hell they are.

The 2501's do look cool. Oh well. Im sure the 877 will keep me ocupied for a while.

Well my bid is still ok at the moment which isn't a problem. The 877 will be my main adsl router so after my initial play it won't be touched. Once I get some more dosh ill take a look at buildint a lab as above.

Im not doing my CCNA at the moment, I started it but then moved to sheffield before I finished the first year. Im about to go back to uni for my final year and therefore may start my CCNA once more.
