Hi Guys,

Was wondering if some Cisco guru could help me out with a vlan problem?
In my work environment we have multiple Vlan's segregating different devices and i'm experiencing an unusal problem.

Port 1 defaults to 1t,12t,40t and 50t but i want that port to become 40u. I change that port to only have 40u and our device work's fine. I save the running to startup config and everything looks grand. I reboot the device and it revert's to the default setting.

Now if i do the same procedure to port 4 and save the 40u config it retains this change after a reboot.

Does anyone know why a single port will not retain the changes i have made?

What do you have plugged into port 1? Is it another switch? If you want a port to stay as an access port you may need specifically configure it as so. If this is the same as SG300 that will be under VLAN Management and Interface Settings.

I have a CCTV camera in port one. Ports 1-6 and 13-18 are POE and i need them to power the camera's. All the ports except port one will allow me to change the Vlan save and restart. Each will retain what changes i make but port 1 keeps reverting to the other Vlans i don't require.

The switch itself gets it connection from a fiber port.

I have tested changing the port even with nothing connected. It will change and allow me to save and restart. I also changed the setting under port vlan membership and also vlan settings.

There is no CLI option on the Sg200 its all GUI my friend. I have it sorted when you mentioned access port i noticed mine were set to trunk. i can now save port one as vlan 40 access mode which will do me fine. I have rebooted and tested.

Thanks for the tip.
