VPN router

I am looking for a new router for my work office. It needs to have site to site VPN. Our other office currently has a Cisco RV042G small business router which offers this feature. I would like to join the 2 networks. These are small offices so don't require things on a larger corporate scale. The router needs to be easy to setup and maintain hence the small business. I could purchase another Cisco RV042G but this model is a good few years old so ideally wanted something newer. I don't have a budget at this stage. Any recommendations?

Thanks.

Have you got anything against the RV042G apart from it's age? All a newer model will potentially give you is better throughput. How fast are the links you're using?

If I was starting from scratch I'd buy a pair of DrayTeks (2860 probably). I've found their earlier models (2820, 2830, 2920) to be very stable, and once the VPN is up you can forget about it for months on end.

I believe we had a 2920n previously and it was throttling the line so someone in the office just went out one day and bought the Cisco RV042G as they were fed up with the speeds.
