I LOVE sim city 2000 and 3000 (wasnt keen on the 4th, found it quite complicated..) Along with roller coaster tycoons and other games along that line. I have allways been tempted to buy this game but heard you had to pay £13.99 for 3 months subscription just to get the mass transport.
I have recently found tho that MC have disscontinued the online subscription and given offline play masstransport. Has any one else got this game? if so do you get everything now its offline or is it still a waterd down single player? thanks for any help you can give. Adam :)

Cities XL 2011 is due out in a month or so. It'll basically be an enhanced single-player version with new features and better integrated old content. As such, I wouldn't buy the game as it stands.

even for £7.99? I see your point tho :( chances are they will have listend to the fans and fixed the problems! ill leave it for now then :D ty

Even though you said you found it too complicated, I found SimCity 4 the best in the series. If you want to get into a SimCity game, I would personally try and play 4 again.

Sorry to be slightly off topic, but I loved all the sim city games but haven't tried Societies. Is it as bad as they say a lot worse than 4?

Lost interest in Cities XL when I found out you can't burn anything down. That was my favourite part of Sim City 2000! Building a city and absolutely trashing it!

I believe that 5 will never happen, I thought that soicties (cant spell it) was "5" or something...

It was supposed to be 5 yea :( same with rollercoaster tycoon 4 they turned it into a family friendly easy to play game for the ps3 -_- Where the focus was on riding your roller coaster and playing side games:( damn you!
