Hi,

Trying to map client drives \\client\c$ but how do i set it so it only maps if they are using my work's machine and not just from an internet cafe / home PC over the VPN ?

Trying to figure out a way perhaps to use enviromental variables or something ?

Any ideas ?

Oh using Citrix Access Gateway here so when user scome in using the VPN either on the home PC or a work PC it doesn't know the difference.

To be honest I wouldn't map client drives unless I really had to, they can slow the connection down considerably.

But if you want to..
it sounds like you need to start playing with the Endpoint Analysis policies, not had to look into them too much, but from what I recall from the course, you can have several rule sets that dictate what resources you give clients, depending on a large list of pre-set variables and user defined ones.

No probs Swinnie.

Thanks Baz, I'll take a look at it. Yeah we don't normally enable it but it's for a certain group of users who work out of the office and need access to local files...

You should be able to set it in the Citrix policies... been a while since i looked at them but you can set a policy to apply depending on client IP.

What do you mean? Just set the policy so that only PCs on your local subnet can map the client drives.

Aah, sorry, misread the first post, I thought he wanted to give home workers the client drives and not other internet cafe PC's

In that case, its a policy against client IP address then.

Or you can do a login script.
