Running some tests/eval at the mo and have been looking at the Citrix XenDesktop and Provisioning Server to deliver virtual desktops to end users. Need to now have a look at published/streamed apps so got a copy of Presentation Server and installed it onto another server. The problem I'm having is that the Presentation Server wants to sit in it's own Citrix Farm to that of the Desktop Delivery and Provisioning Server.
Question I have is the above the way it is or am I doing something wrong? Also when I connect to a virtual desktop then the published apps don't appear until I create a config for the Presentation Server farm, is this also correct.
What I ideally want is user connects to virtual desktop, desktop contains some published and some streamed apps.

but it seems that DDC and Presentation Server can't coexist in the same logical farm so 2 separate farms is the only way to go.
