1) Yes Citrix can use AD logins, as well as independant ones, secure keychains or a combination of all. Logon scripts are actually done through Terminal Services, so you can set TS scritps via Active Directory. Citrix sits on top of Microsofts Terminal Services.
2) No idea, but googling, its nothing to do with Citrix, looks like it is a third party logon script processor
3) Pass through appplications are applications that are pushed to the client. For instance, you have a client with no apps on at all, except for the citrix client, and on the server you install and publish Outlook & Excel, you then give that user the ability to access the applications, and the next time the user logs on, they appear on their computer and run as if they are installed on the local client. Printing, depending on the application can be tricky, but standard stuff like Office and mainstream CRM & ERP stuff will be fine, Citrix will by default load the printer as the users default, as long as you have the drivers on the PE server that is
We had problems with an old application which meant everything had to have short names and use bog standard HP drivers, fortunately we ditched the software
What course are you doing?
The real magic is that if you have PE server you can get it so that remote users can access the servers via a webpage and run applications from anywhere with an internet connection. But it is a pain to set up
