Citrix XenApp Application Streaming

Hi All,

I have a number of published applications (which have been profiled using the streaming profiler) and I want them to be available to users' PCs but not streamed to their published desktop on a XenApp server.

I am not too bothered about how it gets streamed to the users' PC, be it via the Citrix Reciever or by them going to the web interface, but I don't want the application to show up on their start menu on the published desktop.

Can anyone help me with this?

Currently, the app in question is set as a "Application which is streamed if possible, otherwise accessed from a server" and classed as a "streamed to server type".

I assuming that if I chose the option "Streamed to client" this would resolve the issue but it doesn't seem to show on my web interface screen then.

Thanks

Sam

I think you are getting confused.

It's nothing to do with streaming, etc. just a client option.

The only option you really need to look at is on the Citrix plugin - there's an option in there (Right Click / Options / Application Display and untick Show Applications in Start Menu) which will remove it from the Start Menu - of course users can still create there own shortcuts to it though.

Also you are then restricted to having to click on the Citrix Plugin to launch everything.
