I am looking for a new car and yesterday I went and had a look at this car.

I want to know if any of you have any experiences with this car?

Thanks :)

Someone on ere purchased one the other week, it broke down and now citroen won't fix it or give him a loan car.

Someone else sold one because he was fedup with it breaking all the time.

I would avoid tbh ;)

Thread the other day about one breaking down about 1k miles after he bought it brand new.

I'd steer clear. Its a good car, just not good enough.

Thats a shame... guess I have to keep on looking. :(

What else should I consider ? Focus?

Just now I have a Ford Ka... :) It is good, but it's lacking... I want something bigger, faster, good looking, with lots of gadgets :D I bought the Ka new just under 3 years ago, but now earn double as much... I think I want to skip the fiesta size car... maybe I am being stupid...

maybe I should get a second hand car... my boss suggested a second hand masda mx5...

I can never make my mind up.... I have to think about upgrading my computer as well :o

I think one mans opinion shouldnt be enough to make you go 'off' a car...

I know of a new focus which has been dogged with troubles... but doesnt mean i dont have one.

Good cars.

Different

Cheapish to buy

I like em'

I had one as a hire car a couple of weeks ago - the steering wheel took a bit of getting used to ( fixed hub ) - though I did like the way the whole rev counter goes red when you hit the limiter :)

rear visibility wan't up to much , but it seemed to hold the road reasonably well.

I wanted a C4 VTR+ as its easier to PX my C3 to citroen but after my C3 breaking down 8 Times in 3 years and them never having any courtesy cars.

So my Mazda 3 Sport is being delivered on Thursday, if you want a focus sized car look at mazda I did and was suprised as ive never even thought of mazda before

i really wouldn't buy new, not worth the cost and serious deperiation hit as you drive off the forcourt, but thats just me

if you don't need the seats or space i'd always take an mx-5 over a hot / warm hatch, so much fun, and you can have sensible things like seats later when you need them!

What happened with it? Why would they not fix it?

Anyone got any positive experience with this car?

I've had a C4 VTS 180 for 12 months and been really pleased with it. Love all the toys you get with it and I think they look the business. Still gets lots of looks when driving about. Not really a super hot-hatch by todays standards tho. but still fast enough.

Had a few probs with the heating system before Christmas but was fixed within a week. Dealer had it for 3 days tho. as the dash had to come out but got a courtesy car from them so no big deal. First time I've had a Citroen and I've been really impressed with the level of service from the dealer.

Main reason I bought a C4 was because they are/were so different and all the toys you get as standard. Great cars.
