City builders/economic simulation

I'm looking for a good city building or economic simulator game. I've played Caesar series, Patrician series, Cities Skylines, OpenTTD, Banished, Prison Architect, The Guild series, Anno seiries, Tropico series as well as the old Rollercoasters.

I won't play Factorio until it's released. Is there anything good that I've missed recently or over the years?

Maybe try Lethis - path of progress.

Same type of game as as Caesar 3 set in a steampunk world.

In terms of older stuff if you liked Caesar then GOG has Zeus and Pharaoh you may like. Children of the Nile as well perhaps?

One of my favourite games of all time: Railroad Tycoon 3. It's old, but the gameplay is great.

The music is fanrastic too, I didn't even know I liked bluegrass.

Is there a reason you have not tried the simcity series?

Old classics like startopia and theme hospital. Fantastic games IMO.

What about settlers?

The black and white games were building based although that wasnt the only part of them.

Its seriously old now but Imperialism 2 consumed several hours of my life back in the day.

Have you tried the Colonial Charter overhaul for banished? Adds significant amount of content and some quite complex production chains

I picked up Railroad Tycoon 3 and the Banished mod. They should keep occupied for a while.

How's Capitalism II compared to Capitalism Plus?

Do yourself a favour and find a copy of Railroad Tycoon 2 Platinum from somewhere.

Far superior to 3- Whilst it's 2D, everything just feels so much better.
