Used to love sim city 3000 as a kid and i've played a little sim city 4 but now I'm looking at a more modern one with more things to do and such :D

Any recomendations?

Last city builder i played was sim city 3000. Enjoyed that very much, I have tried the latest ones but as no1newts said i find the latest ones to complex.

I've got Cities XL which seems pretty good, it's fairly complicated, but it's alright once you work out what everything does :)

Anno is a bit too expencive at the moment, are the Civ games any good ? Sid Meier's Civilization® V is only £6.75 at the moment on gamersgate but I don't know if the key could be used on steam?

It is good, closest you can get to SimCity but it still doesn't have multicore support so I'm guessing the stuttering still exists when your city gets bigger...?

I've only ever played it on my laptop (i5, HD 5650 1GB) and it seems to run ok on high settings. It's quite enjoyable though :)

I still occasionally play simcity on my iphone :D I think it's called simcity deluxe? very slightly more simple than simcity 3000 though

sim city 4 is still epic for me, get the nam mod and your onto a winner.

Only issue is how god awful the official site is for getting patches etc
