Was waiting in for my graphics card to be delivered today and CityLink claim they carded (when they definitely havent) and no one has rung.

Pure lazyness - too many deliveries to get through perhaps?

Now I have to fight with Citylink to deliver to work during the week

Unfortunately this is City Link all over, the amount of times I've had something shipped through them and apparantly they "carded" even though I've been sitting in all day waiting and no card was ever posted. One time they even wrote they carded TWICE in 2 consecutive days, woman on the phone that I spoke to when I ran up to complain said that the blokes in the van unfortunately sometimes do this when:

a) They can't find the house
b) They forgot to visit your house

Got the truth out of her which is fair enough, never pushed further but demanded it be delivered the day and got a refund on the delivery costs from where I ordered. Was also a Saturday delivery as well which cost about £15. Sometimes they probably do it when they can't be bothered either - as the item in question was a 42" LCD TV, and the delivery point was the 3rd floor of a block of flats.

I paid for saturday delivery for my 8800gt, only for the stupid delivery driver to just push a card through claiming i wasnt in.

Went an picked the card up the next monday from the depot and had a good rant :p

Yep they have let me down a few time`s before, even send a AMD FX 57 to the wrong house and they said they never got it.

same here, left it with my neighbour, never carded me. really went out of my way to get back for the timespan, wasted about 4 hours waiting for delivery, when it was nextdoor all along

I think the best time they messed me around was when they didnt show up even though I'd sat in all day, left no card, and then the details claimed my door was white...when I had a BROWN door.

Was p***ed off, but had a good laugh at how much they'd dropped themselves in it with that one!

Being fair though, havent seen that driver again recently so perhaps they sacked him? hehe

Ive used them 3 times.

first time, it was delivered late, and to the wrong adress
second time they just didnt bother to deliver at all and made me go and collecxt it from there depot which is nearby as it goes.
and third time they got it right, except they crushed my Tuniq Tower box, so all the thins were bent.

The trick they use with me is when i check the online order tracking it says nobody home card left.

Utter tosh! as someone has always been home but no card ever left.

*touch wood* ive never had a problem with city link. Usually come about 9.30 and always in good shape damage wise. I suppose it has a lot to do with where you live and what the local depot is like.

Parcel farce however..........

Had the same problem with a recent order.. waited in all day nobody came or phoned. Checked the website and it said "no answer at premises so carded" or words to that effect.

The previous time I had a delivery with them, the driver couldn't find my parcel on the van, so I had to go on the van with him to pick out my parcel :D

its a shame ocuk use them.. it taints the good service that they supply at ocuk tbh

Nothing to do with OcUK though, it was everyone on here who said 'we want CityLink' when asked who they wanted for the delivery's now, so thats who they went with, it was a customer choice, so in this case, the customer is not always right. :p
