I now see what everyone problem with Citylink is! My OcUK value monitor was "delivered" by them last week, i.e. they put a card through the door Wednesday (without ringing the bell), then tried to redeliver on THursday (i.e. did exactly the same). Had to drive 60 miles round trip to pick up the monitor, get home and discover it is totally dead!

Organise a RMA, supposed to be picked up on Monday from my work. Nobody shows, phone up again on Tuesday, collection arranged for today. Nobody shows. Was told by OcUK I should post this at my own expense (£21 odds) to OcUK HQ so that I can get a refund. Furious with Citylink - biggest bunch of downright liars I've EVER encountered.

Incidentally I'm getting a refund for my RMA - how do I go about claiming back the £21 it cost me to post the item? I have receipts.

The reason I'm asking about the postage refund is because the shop is closed - nobody had to do this before??

Don't Monitors have On-Site Warranties? Call the Manufacturers out and sort it for you, probably get an upgrade that way?

Did it not go to the depot near the Lynch/Ninewells area?

Nope, there isn't one anymore - nearest depot is now Glenrothes.

I want a refund, not a replacement, due to buying another monitor elsewhere (needed one for the weekend).

OMG no depot in Dundee means I can pretty much guarantee I can't order off Overclockers for the near future, and probably the distance future.

What I was told was that Citylink depots are run as franchises, and the one in Dundee is now closed. It's been since that change that I've had trouble with them :(

Their Dundee branch was farcically inefficient as far as I recall as well.

My neighbour had a parcel coming on the same day as me. He got his at 17:00. I got mine 3 days later because the driver said that the other driver couldn't be bothered. Why wouldn't my parcel and the neighbour's be on the same route? I really do not know.

shop talk not allowed Im afraid - best bet is to send a contact note or to call them.

This is a common misconception.

Shop talk is allowed, just not complaints.

I've brought this to the attention of the shop guys for you.

Thank you.

The monitor was posted today via special delivery - I'm not angry at OcUK at all - just peeved off at Citylink - had a huge amount of trouble and a 60 mile round trip to get a dead monitor that I paid good money for :(

Sorry to hear you have problems with the courier - just pop a webnote to support after they have processed your RMA with your shipping costs and they will be refunded to the card you ordered with.
