Right I am having a bit of a retro feel after playing some civ2 music and have dug out my cd version of the game and am trying to actually play it!
So far from my w7 machine I have xp mode installed and working, the game basically running (a few errors but nothing that makes it crash from what I can see) but I cant make it play using the cd pass through feature (so xp mode has my dvd drive in xp). The music stutters a bit then the game becomes unplayable
I have tried to make an iso image of the disc, which though solves some of the problems with the disc stuttering, creates a more annoying problem of not being able to get the music onto the image! (some mad man managed to make the sound tracks an audio portion on the cd making it impossible to get both bits!)
Does anyone have any solutions to how I can play civ2 in its prime (without bashing out an old xp pc as I just don't have time/space or patience for a second setup)
