Civ IV wont work.....

I insatlled civ IV but when i click to open an error comes up saying:

"The application failed to start because MSVCP71.dll was not found"

I downloaded netframework 2.0 but still same error and downloaded that .dll file but where do i put it?

Any help would be appreciated

download patch 1.61 hopefully should allievate your problem

That .dll lives in C:\Windows\System32

doesn't sound like patching will help that then

downloaded that .dll and put it in system 32 and it works thanks guys!
