Civ VI crashing after 15-60 mins

can anybody help me with this.

i started playing Civ VI again about 4 or 5 days ago. day 1 i spent like 5-7 hours on the game with no problems without turning it off or anything. the next day i would get random crashes with no information or driver crashes anywhere from 15-60 mins. ive tried playing on DX12 or 11 same thing happens. i didnt notice any windows updates (when i shutdown it didnt have the update symbols).

drivers - up to date.
no anti virus problem.
no overheating problem.
i have changed nothing on my PC.
ive played outrider for a few hours and had no problem.

what could possibly be causing this problem?

Keep task manager on too or on another window track its memory usage. Or use perf nobitor

OK will try this tmoz.

I'm playing the game as it comes with the gathering storm dlc. I've not added any mods to it.

I get a CTD sometimes in DX11 and DX12 around the 70-90 turns mark. I found that if I save the game before that I dont get the crash.

well today ive played over 200 turns which is think is over 2 hours and ive had no crashes or anything...

i had done many restarts while it was crashing it just wouldnt stop the crashes...

Yea I enjoy it. I'm not very good at it mind but I do like to play it. I've been fascinated with doing viking coastal raiding but I never finish the game or end up getting lost trying to finish them off and spread to thin or don't leave enough time once I'm done raiding.

Standard or one of the expansions? If I play standard I get 0 crashes. On either of the two expansions it crashes every 10 minutes or so.

The launcher causes game crashes, often lock ups between turns. There is a work around that you can find at CivFanataics forums that involves telling steam to launch direct from the application in the stea folder.

I now seem to be getting some random restarts of my laptop no idea if connected it only happens when playing civ 6 but that the onlly game 'm playng at mo so no baseline.
