Civic indicator problem

Hey,

I'm having problems with my 2005 Civic...

The indicators are being temperamental:

At times they don't work...
Other times they do work and flash as normal
Most often, they start working, but the tick is out of time and I've noticed whilst walking around the car with the indicator on... the lights are flashing out of time as well...

its a bit difficult to describe but if your usual indicator goes tick, tock, tick, tock... mine will go tick, tock, tick, tick tock

I've checked all the bulbs in and out the car... they all seem to be working, i've juggled the rear indicator bulbs around, taken them out, cleaned the connector and put them back in...

Is it just the indicator bulbs i need to wiggle or should it be all lights?

The side indicators are built into the wing mirrors and the front ones are part of the main light cluster which look quite difficult to access...

booked into Honda this coming Wednesday for a £45 diagnostic... any other ideas in the mean time much appreciated
