So have been out and about looking at some small cars for the wife (other thread on here)
But saw a decent looking civic tourer, 64 plate, looks like you get a fair amount for your money and Honda's are supposed to be good reliability wise - would this be a good replacement for my V50?

They're very practical but the engine choice is non existent.

Likely to be perfectly reliable but will feel a bit plain compared to the likes of a v60 inside (albeit I expect a v60 to be quite a bit more expensive)

Yeah, having read a bit more on them it seems the petrol engine suffers the same as my V50... I'm used to plain!

Volvo V40, is a good bet, not a shabby looking car and well built etc.

Ive always liked the look of the Civic, i'd say its a nicer car to be in than the V50, which quite an old car nowadays.

I'd say they were similar personally - quite plain inside and the 9th Gen is full of nasty plastics around the instrument cowl and at all the touch points on the doors - properly cheap feeling.

Still not a bad car, very practical for the class and I like civics in general, but doesn't seem like any sort of upgrade to me
