Civic Type R owners?

I will also be joining the type-r club soon, will be looking for a tidy example (facelift) for around 9-10k @ the end of June!!!!

Likewise! But I'll take one now if the right one comes along.

You'll be hard pressed to find one at a dealer for that much. I have the privilege with the franchise owner of Pennine Honda being a family friend, so I can get dibs on higher milage car they wouldn't put on the forecourt.

Sadly, I only see facelifts going for circa £12k regardless of milage, but that's only looking locally.

I would love to have one now but I have a holiday in June to pay for!!!

I'm buying private and have seen some tidy 53 - 04 plates going for 9 - 10k with less than 30k on the clock.

I've been offered a 53 in Satin silver with 39k on the clock for £10k. This is from a dealer with 12 months warranty, and the franchise owner is a family friend and knows the car well and says its immaculate, and if It's not the case he'll bend over backwards.

What do you think? It's my last choice on the colour scale but its in the best of best conditions.

Looks lovely Tim, how much did it set you back, guessing you imported it since you collected from the docks. Do it yourself or use a broker/importer to do the legwork for you?

If it's mint go for it?? But theres plenty of other good examples out there if your willing to travel (private) that is.

I'm really tempted buy the Cosmic grey Premier he has in. Its listed for nearly £14k however but it has only 21k on the clock. Milage isn't a big deal but it really affects the prices on these. It also depends what they'll give me for my 206.

£7800, pretty good price actually as I've seen 97's and 98's priced similarly. Mine is an 00 Type-Rx, the newest and highest spec possible, I'm selling the defi's and the apexi RSM which it came with so should make a couple of hundred back too, still absolutely chuffed with it:D

Tidied up the engine bay earlier (new pics added), t-cutted and polished the headlight lenses also:o

I didn't import it myself, the guy who I bought it off lives on the Isle of Wight, Southampton was the meeting point. I'm only the second UK owner.
