Civic Type-R ...

I've had my EP3 for around a year now and can honestly not speak highly enough of it and would recommend anyone even marginally thinking about getting one to do it. I've never drove a FN2 so aren't really in the position to say which is the better of the two (only from what I've read/seen would I say that the EP3 is the better of the two). If you can go test drive an EP3 and I'm sure it will make your mind up for you ;)

Here's mine (pics are those of the previous owner)

Dont want to be a fan boy but you want a Honda VTEC it seems and you also would like some top down fun hence a MX5.

For your budget you could get a great S2000.

Aye I know mate, tbh the S2000 would have been a first (and only) choice, but in reality I sadly need some practicality with the gf having a 2 seater too, so an MX5 alongside my car for a few months would be best of both worlds, when the chance arises i'll go for an S2000 or NSX Targe for sure :D (Best get/carry on Saving!)

You can get a 2000 or so S2000 for 6k with average milage on at the moment. This is mostly on private sales though. For fun, you might as well just use the MG and save yourself on the MX5 then save for the right car outright.

By then, this thread will be 500 pages long, 3 years down the line and you'll still have your EP2 :p

Cheeky ghet! :p

Aye, maybe right on the MX-5 front, just gonna go see one tonight anyways to see, just wanna find something that fits all the requirements, which many do, i'm just a picky sod :(

I've been driving Type R's since 2003 and still have one (on my 3rd).

The FN2 is garbage - I'd rather have a Renault and it won't have as many issues. I am a Honda fan and yes you read that right.

The DC5 and FD2 are miles ahead of the EP3 and FN2 in many many ways.

Any DC5/FD2 questions then ask me as I know quite a lot (I run my own Type R Forum).
