Civilization 4 players

Do you ever play multiplayer games? If so, how long do you generally take to complete a turn? I say this, because I'm currently playing against a friend, who, on average, takes 5 minutes per turn. It's boring me half to death.

With me and a friend playing Civ 2 later on in the game we don't even get to finish our turns sometimes at 5 minutes.
