Civilization VI to support Asynchronous Compute and Explicit Multi-Adapter

most major RTS games will use dx12 or vulkan from now on, these are the kind of game that benefit the most from the cpu utilisation, async and m.adapter is a + too

It looks like the iOS game. Is that what our great PC franchises are being reduced to?
 
It looks vastly better with lower contrast and fixed colours.

Given the backlash, I suspect they'll be offering different colour / contrast archetypes, and fixing stuff like the trees and mountains.

Anyway, artistic style changes aside, being built from the ground up with a-synch compute in mind ought to offer way more resources for complex AI and things like naval battles and diplomacy, which IMO would vastly outweigh the negative of more cartoonish art style.
