Civony steals Age of Empires 2 sprites

Has anyone seen civony that seems to be advertised like crazy recently?

They have basically copy + pasted their graphics from age of empires 2, like just about all of them...

anyone else seen this?

it doesn't look as good as AOE2, it's too cartoony, + they don't have the right colours! But, yeah, I can see the similarity

its not similarity, the sprites are copy + pasted pixel for pixel

they probably bunged the publisher a few grand for the rights to use them in a limited way. money for nothing for the aoe pubs.

yeah ms takes any money it can get it's why it's so big it also has a legal team that could destroy anyone who infringes upon it. (if it's worth more than their lawyers hourly fee)



And you're right graphics cost millions but to flog some sprites you own rights to and are long out of date, may as well for a small sum.

Yes, I've seen that around. And I was a bit baffled at the graphics being just copied.

Never heard of it, but yes it does have AOE2 graphics by the looks of it.

The fairy on the register page is rather tasty!
