Just a quick question. What was the general view on buying console games from here again? I remember when they first released the Xbox games they were super cheap. But you have to make a new account per game(can obviously delete the account after once the game is tied to the console). But we weren't sure on how 100% legal it was. I haven't bought from there, but I've got a couple mates who have bought loads. A chance they can get banned? Or perfectly fine? Have any of you guys been buying from there?

Selling accounts is almost certainly not permitted by terms of service of Xbox Live. I assume these accounts are from other regions where games are considerably cheaper so on this basis there's no guarantee that the account wouldn't be banned by Microsoft and/or stop working should they enforce region restrictions in future.

I'm pretty sure for the game to work you would need to keep the account they've sold you on the console, if you were to delete the account then surely you've deleted the license to play the game.

Ah not according to my mates. They said once you make the game available to all accounts, you just delete the one you made. But aren't they just selling the games? You have to make the account yourself? Or do you have to make an account for another region?

If you read the site it tells you.

They give you the login details for the account that has the game on it, apparently you get everything for it (recovery details etc) and you are the only one to ever those account details.

Haha I would, but I get an awful signal here. Only have time to load up ocuk.

But that's enough info, I'll tell them to stop buying from there. Perfectly fine for pc games, that was the only reason they were buying from there, they had used them for pc games.

had this myself as i wanted gta and i wanted to know if it was legit they said yes no problem but had my doubts so i went to microsoft chat live and spoke to a guy there who said its a big no no and if caught your xbox will be banned for breaking the tos . i sent this transcript to them on their facebook page and was promptly banned and all my posts removed and i can now no longer comment on their facebook site lmao so what does that tell you .

i still buy my xbox live off them and also direct digital games like today they were doing ac unity for 12.48 with discount and with the first dlc out and being free it was a bargain . my mate was a bit upset who only a couple of months ago had paid like 70 quid for some fancy steel boxed uber edition lol

I had a chat with one of my mates who works at Microsoft about this and they are aware of what CJS and other company's are doing with accounts but they cannot really do anything.

Unfortunately in the eyes of the law it's not illegal to buy and sell legitamately purchased accounts. (I doubt these are from CJS). It becomes complicated when you use these accounts on your Xbox as to do so you are agreeing to the terms of service set out by Microsft. So at this point you will be breaking the TOS and could risk a ban or the game being removed.

Basically CJS are selling the accounts but it's the user that could face a ban or game removal and there will not be much you can do about it.

In short stay away from game accounts and especially CJS.

Cheers for the heads up. I sent them an email last night to see what they say about it. But I doubt they will reply. Really, they shouldn't be allowed to sell these at all.

I got a reply! I hope this clears any uncertainties. Caution though, it's quite a read...

Hi Mike

We have never heard of Microsoft blocking anybody.

As we can tell by the detailed response, it's 100% safe. Haha.

Least it gets straight to the point instead of fluffing things up :p.

So it seems they are having big problems at the moment with xbox accounts and people being locked out of the games they have bought.
