I posted in another thread earlier about these jokers but have just had an email from them regarding a steam key I bought that didn't work. I've sent them screenies of it not working and they're suggesting that I *might* get a refund (after they've spoken to their supplier) but only in the form of store credit. They go on to say that if I want a refund to my paypal account, I'll need to pay a fee of £1!

After it took them 3 days to answer me at all there's no way I'm buying from them again so I don't want store credit - did I miss a memo though and it's suddenly become OK to charge a fee for a refund on duff goods??

Yeah done it - I was going to complain to Trading Standards about the fee for a refund too until I found they were registered in Belize. Lesson learned I guess.

How do they get their keys anyway? Surely their not from the manufacturers themselves?

Who knows - they said they needed to confirm with their supplier before they'd concede that the key I was sold was used (despite me sending them screenshots of my steam library, inventory and the error message I got when I tried to redeem it).

They were sending me contradictory messages before I raised a claim with Paypal - in one email they said I'd have to pay a fee to get my money back, when I asked "are you telling me that I have to pay a fee to get a refund on a faulty code you sold me?" they backtracked and said no, before going back to saying exactly the same thing again. This feels like they're misleading customers deliberately to keep your money but backing off when directly challenged so they don't incriminate themselves in writing.
