No the 30% increase in cost doesn't equate to performance, unless your chasing every fps then cost doesn't matter to some.Looking at two 2x16gb 3600mhz kits to go with a Ryzen 5 cpu.
Can get the vengeance lpx kit, CL18, for around £98 with some money off I got lying about in an account or can get crucial ballistix CL16 for £138....worth it or not?
No plan to go zen3. First build in 10+years and on a tight budget BUT I don't mind stretching a bit if it's really worth it.I would say it's worth paying the £30 difference, the Ballistix can generally overclock well at decent timings.
Could come in handy for Zen 3.
In that case then not worth it, put the money towards a 3700x.No plan to go zen3. First build in 10+years and on a tight budget BUT I don't mind stretching a bit if it's really worth it.
I'm thinking more the money I save on the ram could be put towards maybe going up to a 3700x instead of a 3600 (all kit is gonna be second hand apart from the ram as it seems to rarely show up on the MM)
