Hi,

Someone drove into me earlier. Now other than telling my insurance co about the incident i want them in no other way involved as i dont want to fork out my excess up front etc. Im not looking for a company that will try to get me to squeeze compo out of the other party for a small accident. I just want my car fixed with as little hassle as poss as quickly as poss. So can anyone recomend a company who they think will get it all sorted for me?

Thanks,

Russ

NOT NOT NOT NOT NOT europa, absolutely terrible...ive said it plenty of times before, and will continue to do so. Awful customer service, lack of communication and just damn incompetant to even get facts straight when transferring notes from an email to a claim form they managed to involve an extra car in the accident :s

Helphire are much better, got me a car the same day and zero hassle.

I've just used Helphire, they had some internal hickups when I first went with them leading to some delays, but I believe that was a one off, and the rest of the time they've been absolutely brilliant so far.

I had the same experiences as you but with the companies swapped, Europa were awesome for me

Think ill give helphire a shot as overall they seem to be reasonable enough. I see hurfdurf has problems it just seems helphire have less than europa

Probably taking away your NCB in the process. Notify your insurer you have had an accident and tell them to not do anything about it!

How's that work like?

Guy crashed into the back of my car, I ring my insurance the next day, pass on his details, they phone his insurer confirm he accepts liability, pass me onto albany assistance, who arrange my car to get repaired as well as my hire car, I don't have to pay any of my £1,000 excess, and it's recorded as a non-fault claim, and my NCB is still very much in tact.

I got a phonecall from his insurer if I wanted to go through them but declined as I had already started proceedings via my insurance company, and would have declined anyway.

That will only usually happen where it is obvious who is at fault.

Ie. You were waiting at traffic lights and were rear ended.

I was passed to drive assist when a daft woman drove into my car on the company carpark. Because i wasnt in my car at the time, they said it wouldnt even show up on my insurance i didnt have any excess to pay and i was offered a like for like car.
