The fact the game isn’t being considered by the gaming press as GOTY, isn’t on me, nor is it a conspiracy. It’s just clearly not a well enough regarded game.
FWIW the only other game on that list I played was KCD2 and it sucked as well. But it won’t upset me when it wins GOTY

The problem is not new. The GOTY list has always been controversial and fans of some games get far too tribal. Look at how pathetic some of the responses are that their personal favourite game isn’t on it.
So it's getting scammed.
The new Nvidia driver update has stopped the game crashing so I played for ages yesterday and I've just got up so I assume will be the last area.
If nothing else this game deserves all the accolades it can get for visual design.

E33 has been nominated in 12 categories at thegameawards.com and tbh it should win at least 10 of those. There is also a Players Choice category which isn't announced yet so that could be and probably will be another category it's in.

Last I checked Steam, it had almost 70,000 reviews which were overwhelmingly positive.
It currently has 12,000 people currently playing, as a single player game on a Tuesday, 7-8 months after it released. That absolutely blows the vast majority of AAA big publisher/studio games released this year out of the water. It's very highly regarded, and if the press fail to see the value in it I can only assume bias or shenanigans.
PS: Can you start your own game review thread please? You don't need to go into depth, just point out which games you don't like so I know to immediately go out and buy them.
