Clarification on resolution

Even if the screen is virtual it would still have an equivalent resolution, I may not be explaining myself well as i can't get my head round it.
If a 4k screen has 3840 × 2160 and that is placed say 5m away from you.
The CV1 has 2160 x 1200 but is inches infront of your eyes.
So if you created a 100'' virtual screen is it possible to recreate an equal experience to a physical equivalent.
I still have time to convince the Mrs we need to get one (when I say we....) will have to hunt down a demo somewhere.
