Clarkson vs hoodies

Good job too!

Although, I would like to point out that the thread title is entirely erroneous and that people are not defined by the clothes they wear. I purchased three hooded tops the other day and I am yet to attack Mr Clarkson, or even see him.
 
does anyone else get the impression that whilst topgear wasn't as successful as it is now that a lot of people didn't like Clarkson, and he was one of those "annoying t.v people" cos he has said this kind of thing all along and i always thought that most of the things he said made sense, and i always like his brash and not caring about what he says point of view. But now he is in the public eye a lot more and more of a celebrity he is getting more respect and people are agreeing with him more?
and stuff like this just shows how this country is going, im sure most of us were bought up with more discipline then people seem to be now, i.e getting threatend by the slipper by parents, shouted out occasionally... and i dont feel like a damaged youth as human rights activists may seem to think, infact every generation before this one had far more discipline then the current yobs......stops before full on rant
 
J.C. is a bit of a marmite person I guess. You either love him or you hate him.

I personally love the guy (not in a ghey way of course), and he speaks a lot of common sense. Most of the vitriol sent his way seems to come from smarmy left-wing comedians who take the mick out of his supposedly-cliche car reviews and "Daily Mail" politics.

Long live J.C. and long live Top Gear! :D
 
Desperate how? He may appear childish but he is acting, as it’s for entertainment, he comes across as a sensible person in his columns and other TV gigs.

I live in MK and have actually been happy slapped. Adding insult to injury I could actually see two cop cars and the police station behind me. I know this sounds a bit stupid but I thought rather than start something and risk being stabbed or whatever, I just laughed it off and walked to the pub. I'm sure to people who don't live there MK gets a pretty bad rep. It has it's rough areas like anywhere, and the centre can be dodgy at times, but this sadly seems to be true of anywhere these days.

On a lighter note, damn it! I keep missing Clarkson! one of the few people I would like to shake their hand. Ages ago when they did the top gear feature at Woburn Safari park, I started working there just a few weeks later... people I worked alongside there got to sit there with them in the morning, have a chat, even got some tickets :( Now he's been swanning around the city centre I'm not normally far from. Oh well :)

Ok. When he was on that Family tree program it was interesting and he was sensible. But he spoils Topgear for me. The only things I watch it for now are the guests and sometimes the news stuff. The times Michael Gambon was the guest were hilarious.

When they did the thing with the Porsche pipes a few weeks back that was funny, but JC has to take it too far and stick the wrong end of the pipe in his mouth:confused:
To me thats just the sort of thing I'd expect from some sad 'look at me' school kid.
 
It’s this. Plainly this boy’s parents are useless, allowing him to be out and about on the streets, harassing passers-by at will. Think about it. Every single time one of these children is found stabbed or shot, his mum and stepdad always tell the papers he was a “good lad”. And that he “didn’t deserve to die”.

Clarkson for PM - He's got my vote if this is his stance on the youth / yob culture thats gripped Britain at the moment :D

It is indeed a sorry state of affairs if anyone (famous or not) who confronts these individuals has to worry more about the reprisals than the potential conflict at hand.

Having said that what sort of idiotic hoodie wearing character is going to antagonise a six and a half foot tall celebrity?
