Classic DOS game 'Descent' on steam!!

Heh fond memories, though putting it in the same league as duke/doom is ridiculous let alone claiming it to be better lol :)

Still, it was a good one.

It was way better. Only people with no spacial awareness and the inability to control something in three dimensions would say otherwise :-P
 
Very fond memories, first game I bought a 3D accelerator card for (which was a Matrox G200 off the top of my head)


...that being said I'll be leaving it in the past, wouldn't want the memories ruined.
 
Spent many hundred of hours on descent. Agreed, it was much better than duke or doom (although they were both good). Descent was at least in full 3D with fantastic dynamic lighting, great art, interesting levels and fantastic game play. The AI was also pretty good.
Doom and duke were fun but had a much simpler and repetitive gameplay and you quickly saw through many of the 3D tricks which were just 2D spirited, but then descent came out later I believe?
