I have used a standard microsoft intellimouse for ages and the clawgrip style is what i like, i bought a coolermaster sentinel advance and cant get on with the palm grip style, its just not for me. What else is there claw grip and corded that i can try? The G9 looks ok but its quite expensive, anything else i need to be looking at?

It depends on how much you want to spend on the mouse I guess.
However, if you want to spend at little as possible (say like only around £10), you could consider the Gigabyte GM-M6880 Wired Laser gaming mouse, as I don't think there are many mouse match its quality around that price range:
