Just got a mayhems havoc 360 today, now should i give it a clean inside or not, i got the blitz part 2 but i wouldnt of thought mayhems would send out dirty rads?

It's always worth flushing radiators before use in my opinion. Why take the chance that there might be some crud left inside that could cause a blockage or damage your expensive pump! Doesn't take long to give them a quick flush with DI :)

Edit: And from experience out of 4 radiators I have used - every single one wasn't clean from the factory.

Mayhems said no need for part 1 blitz but the rad and the rest of the system will get the part 2
Sure needed a clean , well over a year old fluid, woops

Mayhems are one of the better rads for not having much come out of them, worth doing though. I tend to run the blitz kit through for flushing whilst also running the system for a leak test.

Flushed two alphacool UT60 radiators last night and was amazed to see they weren't that bad! Having read lots of horror stories about them they were surprisingly clear after a few flushes. Build starts Tuesday

I just built my custom loop a few weeks back and flushed both my XPSC EX 280 and Alphacool XT45 280.

Lots of small debris and particles/micro paint chips/metal came out the XSPC and nothing out of the Alphacool. I read the new blue logo Alphacool rads go through a much better cleaning process now.

Just use some distilled and flush it about 3 times shaking the rads to free up the stuff inside. :)

I had one of the new Alphacool UT60 X-Flows recently. Not much in it but definitely some white flakes for at least 5 flushes if you half fill it, seal it and shake it. Thought I'd got away with someone's genius idea of syphoning water through it but it needs shaking to free the flakes.

yer that was some sort of growth, the reason i got the new rad as well as being bigger, now its running ultra pure h2o and a few drops of deep red dye and a kill coil, will see if i get any more growths.
System was fine for a couple of weeks but has since started running a lot hotter (runs boinc 24/7 was ok @ 75/80c but now hitting 95c to tj.max at 100c) but as im only running 2 old odd fans on the rad ill get 3 new noctuas and see if that helps but i think ill have to have a look at the cpu block again and see if any blockages.

If it's any help, I run my three rad fans at about 800rpm and my temps are good. Ramping then up to 1200 doesn't make a massive amount of difference. Sounds more like a restriction or blockage of some kind to me. A friend had something similar and that turned out to be his rad clogged with crud. Made 20 to 30 degrees difference!

How do you guys flush out your rads? I'm thinking of doing my first wc loop and might re-use my 240 rad off my triton to save a few quid, problem is its full of loads of white bits/flakes
