Clean Boot Mode - How safe?

The process of booting into clean boot mode is itself completely reversible - its starting windows in a diagnostic mode that doesn't start 3rd party driver software or 3rd party software (antivirus etc) so you can more easily troubleshoot.

However - changes made to the windows configuration could affect how the machine runs just like making changes to Windows with it booting normally.

If you are unsure then take a backup of any important data before following any instructions they may give you so sort your issue out.

I'm not going to risk it... Just wary of booting up afterwards only to find a whole raft of issues with core "non-microsoft" drivers/services that were not running for the previous boot up.

If they can't fix their game without me having to go to such lengths, oh well!

What risk, do not mess with an y setting or click the apply permanent setting.

Choose Safe boot and next normal boot next time and it ill be back same as before broken if it is now.
