I recently installed 2k on 2 computers and now both give me the 'It is Now Safe to Turn Off Your Computer' message when i shut down.

Now i understand what causes this - The pc is set up as a 'Standard PC' and not with ACPI.

In the Bios they both have ACPI settings and i didnt press F5 or whatever button it is on install

The thing is, these computers had the exact same copy of Win2k on them before and they didnt give me this message on shutdown, so I am a tad confused..... why would this be happening now?

Installed the latest service pack onto them?
Seem to remember that it sorts itself after an update?

No, in Device Manager i selected: View - Show Hidden Devices, then enabled 'NT Apm/Legacy Interface Node' under the NT APM/Legacy Support branch of the device tree.

Both computers sorted :D
