Clean install of Win7

Hi just wondering if any one can help. Just brought a new laptop and comes pre-installed with Win7 64bit home premium. It comes with a standard 5400rpm HDD but looking to put in a SSD. Am I able to do clean install of Win7 to a new drive from a recovery disc (as laptop came with now Win7 discs) or would I need to purchase a new Win7?

PS I've got an Win7 64bit home premius OEM brought for a desktop...I presume that would only allow single install?

It depends really. Some manufacturers have all the recovery data on a disc - others have a hidden partition on the HDD.

You will know for sure by seeing how much data the disc holds. Several GB and you should be onto a winner.
