When i do a clean install of windows 11 home, i have a usb stick with all the latest drivers on for my motherboard chipset etc, will i be able to install these first, before windows update butts in and gives me there drivers ? i don't want that to happen, anyway to stop this ? thx

Yeah, just leave the LAN cable disconnected until you have installed everything needed installed.

Are you going to use a local account or a Microsoft account as you will need internet to login to the MS account

Yeh, thats my problem, i want to use my Microsoft account, so have to be online i guess.

I just replied to a thread about installing drivers. Might be useful.

Use audit mode to get the drivers and apps you need, no need to create an account.

Once all drivers are installed and you are back at OOBE, if you don't want to create a MS account then

  • Shift + F10 to open CMD
  • cd OOBE
  • BypassNRO.cmd
