Clean install or not.....

Kind of know what the answer may be...but....

Just received my i5-2500k and P8Z68-V Pro/Gen 3 mobo and was wondering whether or not to just swap them out....or......do a completely fresh install of W7 on my boot drive.

Reckon a full install will be the best option, but have a big case of the CBA's about the time and effort involved.

Fresh instal & it's not even an effort these days with W7 so stop moaning & get to it.

Iknow, but its the backing up of emails and the likes......

Emails? Would they not be stored on the internet so you can access them from any computer?

Yup, reinstall. It'll avoid any driver conflicts. Sometimes (often?) your system won't even boot after installing a new motherboard.

@Jordan97 Some people still use Outlook and the likes.

@Shelster Don't you have some form of back up already? If they are important enough that you need to back them up when you reinstall then you should have them backed up already.

fresh install for me all the time,check in outlook where emails stored and back them up

It's not that hard to back your e-mails up... just back the .pst files up.
