Clean install or upgrade?

Since I've decided on the upgrade version of Vista Premium I was wondering whether to do a clean install or not. When I upgraded from XP to the Vista Beta it took aaaagggges to do, I had to leave the thing overnight, however I'm told that a clean install would have taken about 40 mins.

Therefore, seeing as this is the final version of Vista I'm buying shall I upgrade again or just back up my files and do a clean install? Will it take as long as the beta did??

Yeah, just do a full format, should be the safest way.

Microsoft reccommend that you do a fresh install, you can upgrade, but it will still take ages and make your OS pretty bloated and slow.

Fresh install is always the best way. My mate did that with his Vista, Didn't take long either!

Yeah upgrade of any OS in my view is a waste of time ,and slows up the P.C. i upgraded with Windows 98 many moons ago,and it totally messed up the System .
