Clean install question

I’ve done a clean install before using usb creation tool, bit of hassle with some drivers but was fine.

I’m just wondering about the windows 11 reset option in the settings, does this do the same thing?

I built my pc so it hasnt really got any bloatware that I can remember, maybe just a onetime MSI driver pop up, but I got that with a usb clean install as well.

Is this a good option to make things easier?

I’m not planning to do a clean install I’m just curious if the reset pc would do the same thing, delete all files, reset settings e.g

Thanks

Does resetting Windows 11 delete everything?

Also known as Reset, this option reinstalls Windows and removes all your personal files, apps, and settings. It's ideal for a fresh start or when you are giving away or selling your PC. This option downloads a fresh copy of Windows from the cloud, ensuring you get the latest version with all updates.

Thanks I did see that, I think it’s the bloatware that makes usb clean install a better option in some cases then.

I actually decided to do a clean install in the end as didn’t have much on my pc and had a few files from msfs programs that installed themselves all over the place and not easy to find and remove.

Grabbed all the latest drivers direct from msi website for my board.

Only issue now is windows update has long list of various things to download & install, namely a ton titled Advanced micro devices inc system, all with different versions, very confusing.
