clean install vista question

hi folks

mate of mine has vista hp on his laptop and I want to do a clean install for him as it's chocked up with rubbish, after I clean install can I just re-activate vista or should I anticipate a problem activating again with the same serial even though it's the same machine?

It should activate over the net just fine.

I've done the same, it's perfectly fine reactivating over the net as the hardware is the same
