I have always formatted my Windows PC every now and then to freshen it up, but I have a rMBP now, and being quite new to OS X, how would I go about doing a clean install on my mac?

Thanks.

Edit: Sorry, should be in software section.

The same way as Windows. Put the OS installer into CD/DVD drive or USB and just boot. Follow instructions.

Don't forget to erase/format the drive first before installing OSX.

Where would I acquire the installer to put on a USB? It didn't come with a CD as it has no drive.

Stop thinking like a Windows user and forget about it. You don't need to reinstall OS X every now and then to 'freshen it up'.

Thanks. I'd quite like to do it as it has got quite full up with rubbish, deleting it all would take quite some time.
