Clean master - is there much point to it?

I have cm installed, and I am regularly felting astonishing amounts of "junk" when prompted, to the point that it stretches credulity. Its this app really doing something that android doesn't do as standard?

Quite possibly, a lot of people get problems updating apps due to supposed lack of space because Android fails to manage it's own cache files appropriately, seemingly expecting users to manually trawl through app by app clearing them themselves.

Weirdly installed this on a nook HD+ that I have running cm11 the other day and have found much the same as you.

I thought with it only having 1gb of RAM it might help but found it alittle too heavy handed and have uninstalled it. Haven't really noticed a difference tbh and just restart it every so often if it gets sluggish.

I've used it a few times a day for the past few months. Apparently it's cleared over 70GB in total. I have no idea what it is doing or if it is genuinely helping. :p

I install and use Ccleaner every now and again just to clear out old stored files (gallery/thumbnail caches can get huge), but 'cleaning RAM' or whatever serves no useful purpose.

I wasn't 100% paying attention and Clean master accidently deleted my emulator save files. Luckily I had them backed up but I now manually clean my phone to ensure I delete the right stuff.
