Clean Scythe Ninja base

Just removed this ninja cleaned the thermal grease off with a slight dab of acetone but just look at the state of it.

sorry about the pics they were taken with my phone (as you can see)

Lookin at this one it looks like the thermal grease is still on but it's all been wiped off.

It looks like it's burnt.

It's only goin back into a HTPC so doubt it's going to effect the temps much.

What thermal paste did you have on it before? Could be just a reaction to cheap paste.

As long as it is clean, i would just stick it back in

Looks like abit of a reaction discolour thats stained the copper i would just whack it back on it's unlikely it'll have any noticeable affects to the temps.

No brasso doesn't leave residue, whether thats on metal or a scratched DVD

Nope no residue as long as you clean it all off properly.

Cheers for the advice lads will give brasso a try 1st b4 I even try to lap it.
